Mascot “Medals” will be awarded to top 20 finishers in each race. If a race reaches 150 entries we will expand to top 25.
Cookie Cake “Trophies” will be awarded to top two teams in each race.

Course
Same 5K course as in recent years.
Terrain will be fairly even with a short-cut grass trail and a sparse amount of gravel spots. Spikes are recommended. Course will be marked at the first and second miles. Please know that there might be a few areas with rough footing. Note the map below and/or allow time for your athletes to examine the course.

Scoring
Timing will be done by Big River Race Management. Results will be available on their website and will be posted later on AthleticNet. Points will be awarded to the top 7 runners. All others will be ignored. Team scores will be determined on the top 5 from each finishing team.
Heat/Weather
Even with later start times, our meet tends to be hot. If the forecast looks exceptionally warm, we may reduce the race distance and will notify coaches of any changes. PLEASE do not race any athletes that are not prepared for competition. We will do everything in our power to run the meet that evening, but not at the risk of anyone’s health.
Facilities
Tents are welcome. Restrooms will be available.
Medical Staff
EMTs will be on standby. An athletic trainer will also be on site.
Water
Water will be provided to racers at the finish line. Teams may provide water elsewhere on the course in compliance with NFHS rules.
Concessions
There will be a concession stand with food and drink available. We will also have Luna’s Shaved Ice and 1UP Food Truck present.
Shirts
Short-sleeve shirts are available for the meet.
Shirts will be available for pre-order online starting August 1 for $13. Please include the athlete's name in the order. These may be picked up at the meet next to the concession stand.
A limited number of shirts will be available for direct purchase at the meet for $15. Sales on site are cash only.
